Description et habitat

  • Arbre fruitier tropical à feuillage sempervirent de 10 à 20 mètres de hauteur, originaire d’Asie du Sud-est, Malaisie, Indonésie, Thaïlande, cultivé dans d'autres régions tropicales, dont le fruit sphérique violet foncé (mangoustan ou mangouste) possède une chair blanche sucrée et très parfumée (la Reine Victoria en était très friande)
  • Le mangoustan est un des fruits les plus riches en antioxydants naturels (xanthones et flavonoïdes)
