  • Huile de la graine :
    • L'acide linoléique (acide gras polyinsaturé) comporte 18 carbones, 2 doubles liaisons et appartient à la famille Oméga 6 = 18 : 2, n-6)
    • Un régime contenant plus de 12 % de la ration calorique totale en acide linoléique entraîne une baisse du cholestérol-HDL, par un mécanisme de déplétion des LDL en esters de cholestérol, et par inhibition de la synthèse hépatique des lipoprotéines riches en apo B
    • L’acide gamma-linolénique est précurseur de prostaglandines (PGE1)
    • Action très favorable sur la glande mammaire
    • Anti-inflammatoire [2]
    • Anti-oxydant [3]
  • La graine aurait des propriétés antitumorales [4]
  • Les polyphénols sont anti-oxydants [5]

  • L'efficacité de la consommation orale d'huile d’onagre sur le déclenchement du travail et la maturation cervicale chez la femme enceinte n’a pas été démontrée [10], [11], [12]
