Propriétés

  • Antibactérien (Escherichia coli et Staphylococcus aureus résistant à la méthicilline MRSA) [1]
  • La pogostone est un inhibiteur potentiel du gène de résistance à la colistine MCR-1 et peut potentialiser la polymyxine pour le traitement des infections graves causées par les entérobactéries résistantes [2]
  • Anticandidosique, potentialités dans le traitement des candidoses vulvo-vaginales [3]
  • Atténue les lésions induites par le TNF-α dans les cellules de cancer du poumon A549 en inhibant NF-κB et en activant les voies Nrf2 [4], protège le poumon des lésions induites par les lipopolysaccharides [5]

Effets indésirables

  • La pogostone inhibe l'activité des CYP3A4, CYP2C9 et CYP2E1, risque potentiel lors de la co-administration de pogostone et de médicaments métabolisés par ces cytochromes [6]
