Description et habitat

  • Palmier originaire du Nord-est de l'Amérique du Sud, surtout des zones marécageuses du Brésil, nécessitant des températures élevées avec des précipitations abondantes et une forte humidité
  • Les fruits ou « açaí », de couleur violet foncé presque noir, ressemblent à la myrtille et poussent en grappes le long du tronc du palmier
  • L’açaï est très fragile et ne peut être consommée que fraîche ou congelée
