- Plantain, scrofulaire noueuse, véronique officinale [1], euphraise, scutellaire casquée, partie souterraine de Rehmannia glutinosa (l'une des 50 herbes majeures de la Pharmacopée chinoise)
Propriétés
- Neurprotecteur [2], [3], protection vis-à-vis de maladies neurodégénératives telles que maladies de Parkinson et d'Alzheimer, protège les astrocytes vis-à-vis du stress oxydant induit par H(2)O(2), maintient le taux d'enzymes anti-oxydantes telles que glutathion peroxydase, glutathion réductase et du glutathion [4], [5], [6], réduction de l'oxyde nitrique [7], augmente l’activité de la superoxyde dismutase (SOD) et de la glutathion peroxydase (GSH-Px), diminue le taux de malondialdehyde (MDA), élève le taux des ATPase dans le cortex cérébral et l’hippocampe de souris traitées au d-galactose [8]
