  • Anti-inflammatoire par libération de son aglycone, le salicylate de méthyle [1], [2], sans causer d'ulcère gastrique en raison du relargage des salicylates dans l'intestin et non dans l'estomac, et parce que la cyclooxygénase-1, source de prostaglandines cytoprotecteurs dans l'épithélium gastrique, n'est pas affectée [3]
