  • Propriétés anticancéreuses, inducteur de l'arrêt du cycle cellulaire et de l'apoptose dans divers cancers (du sein [1], [2], du cerveau, du foie [3], de la peau, de la prostate [4], de l'estomac [5], de l'œsophage, l'ostéosarcome [6]) via la modulation de différentes molécules de signalisation cellulaire [7], [8], [9]
  • Inverse la résistance de cellules de cancer du sein à l'adriamycine [10], inverse la résistance à l'adriamycine dans les cellules de leucémie myéloïde chronique humaine K562/ADM en supprimant l'expression du gène MDR1/glycoprotéine P [11]
  • Défense chimique de la plante vis-à-vis des herbivores [12]
