  • Anti-inflammatoire, inhibe la production de cytokines inflammatoires par inhibition de l'activation du NF-kappaB et de la phosphorylation et de la dégradation du NF-kappa B alpha dans les mastocytes [1]
  • Antalgique (douleurs osseuses induites par le cancer) par voie orale et intrathécale [2]
  • la bacaléine possède un effet analgésique vis-à-vis de la migraine induite par la nitroglycérine chez le rat [3]
  • Inhibiteur de certains types de lipoxygénases [4]
  • Anti-allergique par régulation du déséquilibre Th1 / Th2 et de la libération d'histamine [5]
  • Restaure l'activité de plusieurs antibiotiques : tétracyclines, béta-lactamines [6], ciprofloxacine [7]
