  • Hypouricémiant par inhibition de la xanthine oxydase (comme d'autres flavonoïdes : apigénine, lutéoline 7-méthyl éther, lutéoline) [2]
  • Agent de blanchiment de la peau par activité sur la tyrosinase [3]
  • Usage cosmétique de la genkwanine et de la sakuranétine [4]
  • Activité antitumorale par effet immunostimulant, diminue les cytokines inflammatoires, potentialités dans le cancer colorectal [5] et le cancer du sein [6]
  • Antiviral (virus de la peste porcine africaine) [7]

Effet thérapeutique

  • Utilisée en médecine traditionnelle africaine contre la lèpre, ou certains cancers
