  • Potentialités antithyroïdiennes (observations anciennes) [1], [2], [3] et anti-carcinogéniques [4]
  • Néanmoins, dans une alimentation dont l’apport en crucifères est normal, les teneurs en goitrine et progoitrine n’altèrent pas la fonction thyroïdienne [5], [6], [7]

Effet thérapeutique

Effets indésirables

  • Réduit la production des hormones thyroïdiennes telles que la thyroxine, entrainant la possible formation d'un goitre [8]
    • Les plantes contenant de la progoitrine (ou un autre glucosinolate tel que la glucobrassicine ou la sinalbine qui peuvent libérer un ion thiocyanate) ont un potentiel goitrogène faible
    • Aucune altération des fonctions thyroïdiennes n'ayant été observé pour un régime alimentaire normal
