  • Feuilles à 5 folioles, fleurs jaunes à 4 pétales (inhabituel pour une Rosaceae, contrairement aux autres Potentilles qui en ont 5)
  • Régions tempérées d’Asie et d’Europe
  • Sols herbeux, landes à bruyères

Histoire et tradition

  • Proposée comme substitut des racines de Ratanhia en raison d’une quantité supérieure de tanins

  • Propriétés anti-élastase (procyanidines pentamères et hexamères) [4]
  • Anti-Helicobacter pylori [5]
  • Les tanins condensés ont des propriétés antioxydantes considérables
