Description et habitat

  • Arbrisseau méditerranéen de 30 à 60 cm qui abonde au Moyen-Orient, Sud algérien et Maroc sur sables profonds
  • Axes ramifiés à la base, laineux, stériles (feuilles ovales orbiculaires) ou florifères (panicules à rameaux étalés)
  • Têtes ténues de 2 à 4 fleurs

Histoire et tradition

  • Panacée en médecine traditionnelle marocaine et du Maghreb, elle est surtout utilisée dans le traitement du diabète [1], en mélange avec Ajuga iva [2]
  • Différents chimiotypes à camphre, cétones, thuyone
