  • Originaire d' Afrique australe et orientale, et d’Asie
  • Souvent cultivée en pot

  • A Mayotte et aux Comores, les feuilles sont mâchées ou infusées contre la grippe et la toux

  • Utilisée en médecine populaire antillaise dans la toux et l’asthme
    • En décoction : 35 grammes de feuille fraîche dans 1 litre d’eau. Couvrir, laisser bouillir 5 minutes, laisser infuser 15 minutes, filtrer et boire 1 tasse au moment des symptômes, 3 fois par jour (TRAMIL)
